The Things They Say, part 2

We recently had an interesting conversation with our nephew, Isaiah. He is a smart kid, getting ready for his first year of school. His mom will be teaching him. They recently had all their books and supplies for the school year arrive in the mail. Ammon and I were out visiting with the Enoch Dahls and Isaiah was busy showing off all his new supplies (he is very excited for school). He was showing us a map of the world that he had. He was trying to find Utah on the map to show us. His dad hinted that it was by a big lake. He pointed to the large amount of ocean that was pictured on the map and asked if that was the lake. I told him that was a pretty big lake. Then he started telling Ammon that he had to swim the whole thing. Ammon replied that it would be no problem, he could swim from the South to the North pole in a day. Isaiah wondered if he could swim the whole thing without breathing.
Melanee: Yes, Ammon is a very good swimmer.
Isaiah: Can you swim it in 11 hours?
Ammon: Yep, easily.
Isaiah: Can you swim it without goggles.
Melanee: Yes, he doesn't need anything to swim it, he can hold his breath the whole time.
Isaiah: He doesn't need a snorkle mask?
Melanee: Nope, Ammon doesn't need anything to swim it.
Isaiah: He doesn't need anything?
Melanee: Nothing at all.
Isaiah: Does he have a swim suit?
Oh the things these kids say. He cracks me up. I assured him that no matter how far Ammon swims he would be wearing at least a swim suit. So, that settled the matter.

In other news. We graduated! I don't have any pictures yet. I need to secure them from various family members, but I'll post them once I have some. It was so wonderful to have all of our family here for the graduation and to celebrate with a big BBQ on Thursday. We loved to see all of you. Thank you for bringing sooo much food and for the generous gifts that you gave us. It felt like a wedding reception all over again, people give you gifts and want to take your picture. But we had a wonderful time and love our family dearly. You guys are the best!

Congratulations on graduating! I'm with Isaiah, I think Ammon should wear a swimsuit if he's going to be swimming in the ocean or really anywhere.
