As our faithful readers can probably remember, Ammon and I bought our home back in September. We bought the house "as is." Meaning, it was a mess and a nightmare. There were two treasures that were left behind. We were promised that those two items would only be here a short time. We fully expected them to be picked up before we moved into our home. We moved in on October 30th. Over a month after we had purchased the home. The two treasures were still there.
The first was this fabulous van. The van was locked and full of vacuum equipment. When we asked them to come get it they said that they had lost the keys. What? Well, in that case, call a tow truck.
The second was this lovely hot dog cart. Inside the little fridge thingy was a bunch of ice cream toppings. Not sure how long they have been in there. Don't really want to know. But how glorious to look out into the backyard everyday to see this beauty.Ammon had called and asked them to come take these things away 3 different times. About a month ago they promised us that they were coming that week for sure. That didn't happen. I was beginning to despair. I was starting to make plans to just sell them. After all, we did buy the place "as is." But a happy thing happened on Friday. They came and picked up the van with promises that they would come on Saturday to pick up the hot dog cart. I had very little faith that it would happen. But they came! I guess our plans to start selling hot dogs on the corner can no longer happen. We'll take it though, I am so happy that the junk is gone!
