I have a question

So, since the first day I knew I was pregnant and began looking up baby stuff I have been bombarded with ads and other such things telling me that I need to get registered as soon as possible. Now, I understand that when you get engaged you get registered. But is registering for baby the thing to do? I am honestly not sure. If it would be useful for people then I'll register, but it seems a bit presumptuous. What are all of your thoughts.

Register or not, I think you're fine. I went to buy something for a first time mother on a registered list and I thought, really? Is this what you want? Sometimes you don't really know what you need until you have your baby. On the other hand, registering sometimes shields you from the garish taste of other people.

I like to register, but most people just get you clothes and homemade stuff anyway! From my experience, when I register, very few people pay attention to it. But I think you should do it anyway :).

Eh. I wouldn't register. If you're worried about not getting what you need, you can get whoever thows you a shower to tastefully let your guests know what you are lacking without bombarding them with an overpriced registry list. Those are just my thoughts :) How are you feeling these days?

I say do it just in case people don't know what to get you, but plan on not getting most of what's on your registry. I agree with Thelma though, you don't really find out what you truly need until your baby is here. I do know that if you guys have a girl you will get TONS of clothes and fewer practical items. Boy clothes aren't as much fun to shop for so we got a lot of practical stuff too.

Personally I love it when people register because then I can get them exactly what they want! I'm so happy for you and I hope you're feeling ok!
